Omna Search: 'Twas The Night Before Christmas... 🎅🏽

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through Greenhouse,
Not a creature was stirring, except for my mouse. 
Just me and my MacBook, some cold brew, too
From My outbox a candidate CV flew.

The resume all hung, in the portal with great care, 
In hopes that the hiring manager would soon be there. 
The candidate, all nestled happy and snug in her current role,
With visions of equity and unimited PTO her new goal. 

The candidate, she said, wasn’t actively recruiting,
But we knew her best shot she was actually shooting. 
She worked oh so hard on an elevator pitch, 
With high hopes that this role was no bait and switch.

The interview process has jumps, some hoops and some loops,
This is your 6th interview through Omna, let’s not make this one an ‘oops’.
We really like you, we do
And we hope this one surely comes through!

The hiring manager joins Zoom five minutes late,
He says there’s a panel, and a case study with a due date.
Your first question is on the role, they say it’s brand new, 
They say, you have a great background, and we’d do anything for you! 
 
A few weeks they pass, we thought that they’d ghost,
Awaiting an email saying, ‘we like her the most’.
She spoke not a word and went straight back to work,
Decks and deliverables, her MD is such a jerk.

When suddenly, my inbox, it started to clatter,
I spring to Gmail to see what’s the matter. 
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But an offer package for a brand-new career!
 
For this little old candidate, so tired and burnout,
I knew in a moment it must be that girl from leveraged buyout.
More rapid than eagles her answer ‘Accept’ it came,
And she whistled, and shouted, and called old clients by name;
 
Now, Cherry! now, Tailorbird! now, Phil and Scratchpay!
On, Reggie! on, Traba! on, Sequioia and First Day!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
