For those of you new to the newsletter, we’re Omna Search! 👋 We’re a small team of 6 dedicated to helping fast-growing companies hire some of the best ex-consultants / bankers / operators in the field.
A few years ago, we started out as just 2 ex-McKinsey friends who decided to leave our corporate jobs to explore more entrepreneurial endeavors.
Today, we’ve helped over 100+ companies build out their teams … and we’re hoping this is just the beginning! We’re immensely grateful for all the support over the years, and excited for the year ahead.

A few trends we’ve been noticing:
Layoffs are abound and likely not stopping just yet
We’re seeing some comp recalibration - Startups no longer willing to match inflated salary expectations; Candidates being more accommodating on their comp asks
There are, however, still companies recruiting! Seed-stage co’s, co’s in industries that have been insulated from SaaS market impact (i.e., healthcare), larger co’s undergoing transformations, etc.
Trending roles … Seeing more than the usual amount of Rev Ops and Strategy & Transformation type roles out there today
That said, it is a hyper-competitive recruiting environment - a lot of jobs are getting 200+ applications in the first 24 hours of posting
What this means for you as a candidate:
It helps to leverage your network to get your foot in the door / to the front of the line for select opportunities - many of the best opportunities get filled before they make it onto the market
If you are excited about a job, make sure you put in the time to prep for the interviews - candidates are going above and beyond these days to do well and stand out
